Do you need a momentary break from the sweets?
I keep feeling like the past few weeks have been about cookies, cakes, pastries and general sugary treats. I was getting concerned that I was posting too many desserts here and you would forget that I actually cooked. I know, I was worrying for no reason right? The holidays turn us all in to bakers and there is nothing wrong with that!
Anyhow, if you need to take a break from all of those cookies and sweets then I suggest you try this dish that I created for Uncle Charley’s Sausage. I also recommend it for any of you that might be experiencing some very cold weather and snow.
I wish I could say that it was snowing outside but sadly, it is just cold. What good is the cold if it isn’t accompanied by fluffy snowflakes?
This soup is everything I love in soup. It is creamy, spicy, and comforting. I really like pasta in soup and pasta filled with cheese is even better. The sausage and tortellini combo is a match made in heaven. The hubs took one spoonful and declared his love so I knew it was a homerun. I encourage you to try this one with the family this winter. To make it less spicy feel free to swap out the hot italian sausage with the sweet italian.
